I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied — the food was so flavourful and comforting! The ginger chicken stew stood out in particular — rich in taste, perfectly balanced with spices, and full of warmth. Everything felt fresh, refreshing, and healthy, without being heavy. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and made with care. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again!

Came from out of town for half a day. An old mate recommended we meet here for dinner. Excellent selection. Menu was more focused than the menus in Footscray, which I appreciated. The spring rolls and prawns were lovely, and the roast pork vermicelli was huge. Really enjoyed their Vietnamese take on the affogato, too - made with Vietnamese milk coffee instead of espresso. We walked up on a Tuesday and they squeezed us into the window - they were pretty booked out to be honest. Recommended.

Dropped in here for dinner while driving through and was super happy with the experience. Great food, super reminiscent of what we ate in Hanoi. Beef pho was great! Quick service and nice vibe.

One of the best dining experiences in Castlemaine, Nem Viet offers friendly service, comfortable dining and delicious, authentic Vietnamese food. Service is prompt, the ingredients are fresh and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended for a date night or dinner with friends.

Lovely Father’s Day lunch with my wife and daughter. Food was excellent. Recommend the house spring rolls and chicken and ginger (curry) claypot 10/10. Nice find, will return regularly. Thank you.

Hello all, my name is Stacy and I have just moved to Castlemaine in the past few months. When I first moved here i wasn’t quite sure what healthy restaurant options they had here but that was before I found Nem Viet. When I first walked past Nem Viet I was already intrigued and excited about how many people were in there looking like they were really enjoying the meals, so I went in to having an investigate. That was one of the best decisions I have ever made because as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by some lovely staff who helped me with a seat, I then proceeded to order what I wanted for dinner and ate the most delicious bowl of beef pho I have ever had! Food was so good that I left a tip. I now go once every two weeks for my night out and it was always so lovely

Beautiful, clean and fresh food, as good as anything you'll find in Melbourne in this price range. And the service was welcoming and friendly to boot. Heading back there ASAP!!
